I took it on one trip to East Kalimantan where I was in open countryside, each time I turned it on it would take a couple of minutes to pick up a signal and even more if the camera was moving. It is a very frustrating device, I found myself stopping standing still waiting to get a signal and then it would drop out. Only a small percentage of my photos have the GPS data. Then when I got home it stopped working all together. Nikon demands a premium for their products because they are perceived to be better quality. The GP-1 is rubbish and I wouldn't advise anyone to buy one.

Re: How to create a Sekonic L-758DR profile?

Apparently I bought the wrong profiling target, but I refuse to spend more money on this. In the end I believe (now, not when I bought the light meter!) that it does not really make any difference if you profile your camera or not. I'm still very happy with the light meter by itself, without profiling.

Re: How to create a Sekonic L-758DR profile?

Hi Markus,

Did you ever figure this out? Yes, I've certainly read Trey Ratcliff's tutorial, but I've been looking for practical, down-in-the-details info like you've provided. I also like more photorealistic HDR treatments, and while Trey's work is great and I enjoy it, I'm looking for a different more natural style--like yours!
